2. What data we collect

Website analytics (with your consent)

When you accept analytics cookies, we collect:

  • Pages visited, scroll depth, time spent on pages
  • Device type, browser, screen resolution, language
  • Referral source (how you found us)
  • IP address (for identifying returning visitors)
  • Button clicks and navigation patterns

This data is anonymous and cannot identify you personally. We do not use third-party analytics services. All data is stored on our own infrastructure.

Contact forms and quiz

When you submit a form, we collect:

  • Name, email address, company name, phone number
  • Your message or quiz results

3. Why we collect this data

  • Analytics: To improve our website and understand which content is most useful to visitors.
  • Contact forms: To respond to your inquiry and provide the requested information or services.
  • Quiz: To provide you with a security assessment and, if requested, follow up with relevant advice.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): For analytics tracking. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): For processing contact form submissions to respond to your request.

5. Data storage and retention

  • Analytics data is stored for a maximum of 90 days and then automatically deleted.
  • Contact form submissions are stored for a maximum of 12 months.
  • Data is stored on servers within the EU/US (Vercel and Neon infrastructure).
  • All data in transit is encrypted using AES-256-GCM.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. Data is only accessible to authorized Axite personnel.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or clicking "Essential only" in the cookie banner.
  • Complaint: File a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

8. Security

We take the security of your data seriously. All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption. Our infrastructure is hosted on enterprise-grade platforms with ISO 27001 compliant security practices.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
